Let us begin by saying that everyone at Ascent Audiology & Hearing hopes you had a fantastic holiday experience.
We know some of you may have had to adapt your celebrations this year, but we’re looking forward to hearing all your stories when you next speak to us.
This year is exciting for us as we approach our sixth year as a practice and look forward to entering a new year of changing people’s lives!
It’s true that 2020 didn’t go exactly how we anticipated, but there are so many reasons to be optimistic about 2021!
Most importantly, the team was thrilled when they heard the news of an effective vaccine, meaning that one day soon, we will all be able to meet up with friends and loved ones safely.
Despite this, we know that it remains an especially hard time for people to get out under the current pandemic restrictions.
Many are feeling lonelier than ever, and it can be difficult for many folks to access the regular hearing care services they require. However, throughout the pandemic, the team has revolutionized the way in which we operate to bring you a range of secure, non-contact care options, no matter the situation.
Our Teleaudiology service lets you speak to a specialist one-to-one, and our curbside assistance gives you the chance to get audiology support straight to your vehicle.
The Hearing Aid Repair service is the newest addition, providing you with expert help if your hearing aids break, at a fraction of what most manufacturers charge.
As a result, there are now more ways to get specialist hearing care solutions than ever before.
But the thought of seeing our office full of people once again – potentially in 2021 – fills everyone with joy, and for us, that day can’t come soon enough!
Updates from the Office
To ensure all our patients are safe, we operate strict hygiene measures in our office, including sanitizing rooms and surfaces in between appointments and having staff take regular temperature checks.
Our patients’ health is a top priority – you’re like family to us! – and we are continuing to monitor the CDC guidelines, so you get the most secure service possible.
If you’re looking for a pair of hearing aids that have both charging and streaming capabilities, have you considered Starkey?
As they’re fully rechargeable, these are a great option for people who don’t want to change batteries so often.
We are happy that Stacey Sowinski celebrated her 4th anniversary with Ascent Audiology & Hearing.
She’s an amazing member of the team, and we’re so lucky to have her on board.
Happy Birthday, Samuel!
Daniel and Cynthia’s son Samuel also turns nine in January!
And they have a new puppy! It’s their third old English bulldog, and his name is Remy.
Who am I?
It’s true to say that many of you enjoyed our holiday game in last month’s newsletter, and everyone at the office loved your feedback.
So, to lift all our spirits, we decided to run another game, “Who am I?”, where you need to guess the person using the clues below:
1) I have the pleasure of testing Ben Jovi’s hearing.
2) I have lived in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, and New York.
3) I love sailing!
Think you know who I am? Click reply on this email and tell us your best guesses!
Above all, we hope you have a happy 2021 and we look forward to seeing your wonderful faces throughout the rest of the year!

Need Recipe Inspiration?
Our office manager Jen has an amazing recipe for her Thrasher’s Killer Sausage Dip.
- 1 pound Jimmy Dean Hot Breakfast Sausage
- 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 1 8oz package of cream cheese
- 1 bag pita chips
In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook sausage until crumbled and no longer pink. Drain. Add the Rotel and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese melts. Serve with pita chips or veggies.
