Dr. Julia Kury

My name is Julia Kury, and I was born and raised in Avondale, Arizona. I received my Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Arizona State University in 2018 and earned my Doctorate of Audiology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon, in August 2025.

My journey into audiology began with my own experience living with hearing loss. Navigating the challenges of communication and connection gave me a deep appreciation for the gift of hearing and the importance of compassionate care. This personal connection inspired me to pursue audiology so I could help others regain confidence in their hearing and reconnect with the people and sounds that matter most.

During my clinical training, I gained experience in a variety of settings, including university clinics, elementary school settings, and pediatric medical clinics. My background includes work in comprehensive audiologic evaluations, hearing aid consultations, hearing aid fittings, follow-ups, and patient counseling.

Audiology has always been more than just a career path for me—it’s a way to make meaningful differences and improve lives through sound and communication. I find great fulfillment in guiding individuals and families toward better hearing health and seeing the positive changes that follow.

Outside of audiology, I love to express my creativity and curiosity through traveling, hiking, sketching, journaling, making jewelry, and spending time in nature. Each of these hobbies gives me a sense of balance and appreciation for the world around me.
