Many of our patients are pleasantly surprised by how discreet these devices are, often reporting that their friends and family don’t even notice them. With the ability to connect to your cell phone, television, and computer, these hearing aids amplify sound and your entire life experience. Our range of options ensures we can find the perfect solution to match your hearing needs and lifestyle preferences.

Diverse Hearing Aid Styles

Find the perfect fit for your unique needs

At Ascent Audiology & Hearing, we offer various hearing aid styles to suit different preferences and hearing loss levels. Behind-the-ear (BTE) devices are our most powerful options, ideal for those needing significant amplification. For a more discreet solution, we offer Open Fit (Mini BTE) and Receiver-in-the-Ear (RITE) styles, which provide excellent performance in a smaller package.

If you’re looking for even more discretion, our In-The-Ear (ITE), In-The-Canal (ITC), and Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC) options offer near-invisibility while still delivering impressive sound quality. Staff was very helpful and kind. Bryan and Susie answered all my questions and gave me good advice. I was so happy to find them and would recommend them for everyone.

I am very impressed with Ascent Audiology. I called to make an appointment to address a problem with my hearing aids. They called to see if we could address the issue over the phone. We solved most of the issue but when we couldn’t get it completely fixed they gave me the manufacturer’s number to see they could fix the issue without me having to come to the office. They are very professional and helpful.

Brian and Suzy are always prompt, professional, thorough and have great personalities. Ashley at the front desk is also top notch. Would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

I took my dad for a hearing test at this office, the front desk lady is very nice and welcoming, the office is clean and well decorated. Doctor Baber and his medical assistant Suzie, were very nice and polite, they made us feel welcome too. They were very patience with my dad and explain to us accordantly. Also doctor Baber, clean up my dad's ears with delicacy and patience. After that I made an appointment to clean up my ears too, and believe it or not but we all need to do that at certain point in our lives. I highly recommend this office to all of you, even if you don't need hearing aids yet.

I love the staff here! They are the most welcoming and knowledgeable people you can find. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I've been a patient of theirs since last year and my experience is always top notch. I very highly recommend them.

Common Patient Questions

Have more questions about Hearing Aids?

Explore our FAQ section to find answers to common questions about our hearing services. Whether you’re looking to improve your hearing, maintain your hearing aids, or learn more about the solutions we offer, we want to help you make informed decisions about your hearing health.

Hearing aids work by amplifying sound vibrations entering the ear. They consist of a microphone to pick up sounds, an amplifier to increase the sound's power, and a speaker to deliver the amplified sound into the ear canal. Modern digital hearing aids also process sound to reduce background noise and enhance speech clarity, adapting to different listening environments automatically.

Using hearing aids can significantly improve quality of life for those with hearing loss. Benefits include better communication and relationships, increased social engagement, improved cognitive function, reduced risk of depression and isolation, enhanced workplace performance, and greater independence. Hearing aids also help prevent further deterioration of hearing abilities and can alleviate symptoms of tinnitus.

The cost of hearing aids can vary widely, typically ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per ear. Premium models with advanced features can cost up to $6,000 or more per ear. Factors affecting price include technology level, style, features, and the provider's service package. It's important to consider not just the device cost, but also the value of professional fitting, adjustments, and ongoing care.

Several options exist for financing hearing aids. Many audiologists offer payment plans or financing through third-party credit companies. Some manufacturers have their own financing programs. Health savings accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) can be used for hearing aids. Some insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage, may cover part of the cost. Veterans may be eligible for free or discounted hearing aids through the VA. Additionally, various non-profit organizations offer assistance programs for those who qualify.

On average, hearing aids last between 3 to 7 years. However, their lifespan can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the device, how well it's maintained, and how often it's worn. Technology also advances rapidly, so many users choose to upgrade sooner to benefit from new features. With proper care and regular maintenance, including professional cleanings and check-ups, you can maximize the lifespan of your hearing aids.

Most hearing aids come with a manufacturer's warranty that typically covers repairs and sometimes loss or damage for 1 to 3 years. These warranties often include a one-time replacement if the device is lost or damaged beyond repair. Some audiologists offer extended warranties or protection plans that can cover your devices for additional years. It's important to understand what's covered in your warranty and to keep your devices properly maintained to ensure they remain in good working condition.
